Reading Milan Kundera

It has been twelve years since my first acquaintence with the literary world of Milan Kundera.
His world appeared strange to me. Strange, and alluring.
I quickly went through six of his novels and one nonfiction.
For various reasons - because he invoked certain personal associations from that era, because reading his works demanded an intellectual and emotional commitment that I failed to gather up from my reader's block - I avoided that path since.
Early this year, on the occasion of the release of his new work, The Curtain , I decided to read and reread him again.

In July, I completed his three nonfiction works :

1.The Art of the Novel
2.Testaments Betrayed
3.The Curtain

Their main theme: His personal history of the novel.
( his passion for music is another important theme ).
What is a personal history of the novel ? And what is his version ?
I will try to comment in detail somewhat later.
For the time being, I would like to suggest that lovers of serious literature, specifically the novel form, can draw invaluable inspiration from these books.
